Sinus Center
The Stanford Sinus Center offers advanced care for patients with chronic sinusitis, nasal polyposis, fungal sinusitis, nasal obstruction, and tumors of the nasal cavity and anterior skull base.
Founded in 1999, this is the first center on the West Coast to offer comprehensive medical and surgical care for chronic sinusitis by a fellowship-trained otolaryngologist. The Center has over 3,500 patient visits per year and is considered the leading sinus care practice in Northern California.

The Sinus Center offer treatments for the following conditions:
Acute and chronic sinus infections
Sinusitis is an infection of the sinuses near the nose, which usually occurs after a cold or after an allergic inflammation.
Fungal infections of the sinuses
Asthma-associated sinus diseases
Persistent sinus disease after previous surgery
Headache with sinus components
Complications of previous sinus surgeries
Frontal and sphenoid sinusitis
Nasal allergies
Nasal deformity requiring cosmetic surgery
Nosebleeds
Blocked nasal passages
Blocked tear duct passages
Skull base tumors
Polyp
A growth that projects, usually on a stem, from a membrane in the body and can sometimes develop into cancer.
Tumors of the nose and sinuses
Cancer of the paranasal sinus and nasal cavity is a disease in which cancer (malignant) cells are found in the tissues of the paranasal sinuses or nasal cavity.
Nasal obstruction and deviated septum
A deviated septum is an abnormal configuration of the cartilage that divides the two sides of the nasal cavity, which may cause problems with proper breathing or nasal discharge.
Graves' disease
An autoimmune disorder that leads to overactivity of the thyroid gland (hyperthyroidism) and is characterized by swelling of the neck and protrusion of the eyes resulting from an overactive thyroid gland.
Pituitary tumors
Abnormal growths that develop in the pituitary gland and may cause overproduction or underproduction of hormones. Most pituitary tumors are non-cancerous.
